The Short Century: Independence and Liberation Movements in Africa, 1945- 1994

The Short Century exhibition in  2001 exhibition displayed the complex intellectual and cultural forces involved in African Liberation movements as well as giving tribute to African art being produced during colonization. 

Africa Remix Contemporary Art of a Continent

The show exhibited over 85 artist from 25 countries in Africa and diaspora. 
Simon Njami travelled for 10 years creating  the Africa Remix travelling around the country and gathering the best artist's and pieces for a show of city and land. 

Viviane Sassen

 A Dutch Artist who lives in Amsterdam, Sassen works both in fashion and fine art. She is a highly published photographer having won the Dutch Prix de Rome in 2007 and the Infinity Award from the International Center of Photogrpahy. In the Fashion World she has thrieved as campaign stratagist for Miu Miu, Louis Viutton, and others. 

Pieter Hugo

A South African Photogrpaher, most of his work consists of portraits. His works focuses on African communities, incoporating art traditions with a story much like a documentary.
